Regatta Entry
On behalf of the Hants & Dorset Amateur Rowing Association and the organising committee of the 2011 South Coast Championships Regatta and South Coast Junior Regatta we would like to extend an invitation to all West of England ARA, Hants & Dorset ARA and Coast ARA Clubs to compete at this years South Coast Championships Regatta and South Coast Junior Regatta.
Entries are invited for:
Open and Invitation Events, over 2000m, for - Men’s Senior, Junior Senior, Junior and Novice Coxed Fours – Ladies Senior, Junior and Novice Coxed Fours and Veteran Coxed Fours for age groups 40+ (Vet “A”) and 50+ (Vet “B”) – on the day of the Regatta.
Junior Events, over 1000m, for – Boys – J16 4X+, J16 2x, J16 1x, Coastal J16 4x+ and Coastal J16 1x; Girls - J16 4X+, J16 2x, J16 1x, Coastal J16 4x+ and Coastal J16 1x; Boys – J14 4x+, J14 2x+ and J14 1x; Girls - J14 4x+, J14 2x+ and J14 1x. Minimum of three entries to stage an event. NOTE: Age qualification (BR Rule) will be relaxed to allow Juniors to compete at the status at which they have raced/qualified for during the 2011 season.
Association Secretaries are invited to enter up to two Club Crews in the Championship Events – Men’s - Senior Fours, Junior Senior Fours and Junior Fours – plus Ladies Senior Fours and Junior Fours – and Veteran Fours. Note: there are different entry forms for Championship, Open and Junior events – please make sure you use the correct form. Entries forms can be downloaded from the Web Site.
The Clubs and individuals entered must meet the criteria laid down by the Rules relating to entry conditions of the South Coast Rowing Council i.e. South Coast Council Rules 23 through to 30 (see attached) and must be affiliated to one of the three South Coast Rowing Associations - Hants & Dorset ARA, Coast ARA or the West of England ARA.
Entry Fees are £4 per Seat [£16 for a four] (includes £0.50 per seat South Coast Levy) – cheques to be made out to – “SCC DORNEY”. Entry fees for Championship crews are paid by their Association at £2.50 a seat/£10 a crew.

Entries by E Mail MUST include full details as per entry form. If sent by E-mail entry fee must be received at the above address by 5.00pm on Saturday, 20th August, 2011 or the entry may be rejected. No telephone entries will be accepted. No late entries after the closing date. Incomplete entries may be rejected. Entries must include the full names of all crews including coxswains.
The draw for the Junior Regatta and the Open and Invitation events of the South Coast Championships Regatta will take place at the Itchen Imperial R. C. Clubhouse, Crosshouse Road, Chapel, Southampton, from 6.00pm on Tuesday, 23rd August, 2011.
The Entry forms for the Championship Events (to be submitted by the Association Secretaries), Open and Invitation Events and the Junior Events have been sent to Association and Club Secretaries, and can be downloaded from the "Downloads" section - along with the "Notification of alteration of entry form" and the Conditions of Entry, extracted from the South Coast Council Rules.
