Personnel

Paul began his rowing career in 1973 with Christchurch Rowing Club winning numerous Hants & Dorset Championships in Junior Pairs, Junior Sculls and Senior. He also secured South Coast Championship titles at Junior Senior and four Senior (Bideford Bowel) Championship victories. In 1982, he moved to London for work, where he continued his rowing career until 1995 when as Captain of Thames Tradesmen Rowing Club won Gold and Silver at the National Championship Medals in Coxless and Coxed Pairs.   

Having moved to Wiltshire Paul rowed for Bradford on Avon Rowing Club at Masters with numerous wins including 4 Henley Masters victories. After four years working in Paris, France from 2005 – 2009.  Paul returned to Hants & Dorset rowing and joined Bournemouth Rowing Club in 2011. He played a key role in coaching, while also supporting the club's search for new premises during his time as Captain and Chairman.

In 2024, Paul became Chairman of the Hants & Dorset South Coast Championships Organising Committee, and in 2025 he was elected Chairman of the Hants & Dorset Amateur Rowing Association (H&DARA).
