Founded in 1886, Southsea Rowing Club is one of the oldest and most established coastal rowing clubs on the South Coast.
Operating directly from our historic clubhouse on Clarence Esplanade, we offer coastal rowing directly on the waters of the Solent.
We welcome rowers of all ages and abilities—from absolute beginners taking part in our structured Learn to Row courses to competitive Junior, Senior, and Masters squads competing regularly in the Hampshire & Dorset coastal regatta circuit.
Alongside coastal training, our members make use of our indoor ergometer facilities and gym for year-round fitness.
Beyond the competitive racing, Southsea RC prides itself on a vibrant, friendly social scene, offering everything from social rowing memberships for those seeking casual fitness on the water to a full calendar of off-water club events.
We also maintain strong connections with local university and student rowers, making our club a welcoming, inclusive community hub for anyone passionate about rowing on the seafront.
