Southampton Coalporters Rowing Club

Southampton Coalporters ARC was founded in 1875 and as such, is the oldest and most established rowing club in the city of Southampton.

We are a vibrant and friendly club with members of all ages and abilities ranging from 12 year olds to over 80’s! We compete across the south coast in the H&D Coastal championships and members also take part in many national river races such as the Eights and Womens Eights Head in London each year. We have also had crews qualify and compete at Henley and our development Junior squad have been representing Coalporters and the Wessex Region each year since 2000 at the Junior Inter Regional Championships.

With an on site gym facility, two boathouses and a club house, Southampton Coalporters welcomes any new members on either a Learn to Row pathway or, for experienced rowers, the potential to join our Junior, Masters, Womens or Mens squads.
